Underwater Photography Seminar

Underswater Photography

As a diver, you desperately want to share your experiences with others. The problems is, words alone are not enough. You need pictures. This is why, sooner or later, every serious diver learns to take underwater photos.

At one time, taking underwater photos was an complex and time-consuming proposition, requiring an investment of hundreds (or, more likely, thousands) of dollars in equipment and mastery of complicated principles and terminology. No more.

The digital photo revolution has changed everything:

  • You can get a good-quality digital camera and housing for well under $1,000.
  • While accessories such as wide-angle lenses and external strobes are available, most aspiring photographers will discover they are not really necessary — so long as you understand simple principles, such as how to white balance your camera.
  • Exposure or composition less than perfect? Fix it in Photoshop (or any of a host of digital image-editing programs).
  • Share your photos as prints, on your TV or laptop, or on the Web.

You don’t need to study complicated manuals or attend lengthy courses to get started, either. Just attend our new, one-evening Underwater Photography seminar. You’ll learn:

  • Cameras and housings.
  • Equipment maintenance.
  • Design and composition.
  • Taking pictures under water.
  • Photoshop basics.

Seminars take place monthly. Need more info? Call us at (703) 263-0427.

Cost: $55.
