Why We Like Cayman
Long regarded as one of the Caribbean’s top three dive destinations, the Cayman Islands have been number one in our book since, well, Day One.
- To start, the islands’ western Caribbean location helps ensure some of the most consistently perfect weather anywhere. And, as an island, there is always a side where the wind is not blowing.
- The Cayman Islands are, unquestionably, the Caribbean’s wall diving capitol. Grand Cayman is surrounded by walls, such as the one that runs the length of Seven Mile Beach. Off the neighboring Sister Islands, you will find spectacular scenery at breathtaking Bloody Bay Wall, which starts in relatively shallow water and plunges, straight down, for thousands of feet.
- What type of dive vacation best suits you? Do you want luxury resort hotels? Laid-back, out-of-the-way establishments? Condos? Liveaboards? The Cayman Islands have them all. You can enjoy the great shopping and dining of Georgetown or escape to the seclusion of Cayman Brac.
- The Cayman Islands are a place where the whole family can feel comfortable. With a stable government and thriving economy, there is little risk of unpleasant surprises.
- There are things in the Cayman Islands you won’t find elsewhere, such as unbelievable aquatic life encounters at Stingray City, or the unbridled color and fun of Pirate’s Week. There is more than enough to see and do for divers and nondivers alike.
Adventure Scuba Company’s next Grand Cayman trip takes place May 16-23, 2009. Find out more.
